Buying a Boat
What are you
looking for in your boat purchase? Examine the following thoughts and
determine which boat is the best for you.
|
|
 |
1. Will you be
using the boat for fishing? If so, consider anything from an
inflatable boat to a bass boat. An aluminum boat might be a choice and
if you want to be able to take a lot of people along a pontoon boat
could be the way to go.
2. Does speed matter to you? If so, an inflatable boat certainly won’t
do at all. Consider a boat motor and which one will fits your needs
and the type of boat you choose.
3. How many people will be boating with you? Again, if the answer is,
more than one, the inflatable boat is once again not the choice. A
pontoon boat, while great for many people fishing is not speedy and
will not work for water skiing.
4. How much do you want to spend on the boat itself, boat accessories,
and maintenance? Will you need a boat trailer, boat motor, boat cover
and there’s always the necessary fuel, insurance and storage fees.
5. Would you like to live on the boat? Now you are talking more money.
Decide how much room you need and how claustrophobic you are. Visit a
boat dealer and talk to others who own boats. This will help you
decide what is right for you.
6. Do you want to sail? Here you have many options and price ranges.
Take a sail boat charter and see all that is involved with the
handling and sailing of the boat.
There are many things to thing about when considering the purchase of
a boat. Good planning will enable you to make the best decision.......
